Track and Field: Sagehens Partner With Foothill AIDS Project For Dining Out For Life

The Pomona-Pitzer Track and Field team is partnering with the Foothill Aids Project for their Dining Out For Life featuring The Spot restaurant at 435 West Foothill Blvd in Claremont.

Visit The Spot on Thursday, April 27th between the hours of noon and 8:00 p.m. and The Spot will donate 30% of food purchases during that window of time to the Foothill Aids Project to help fight HIV and AIDS. Diners will also have the opportunity to participate in a drawing for a list of great prizes.

Here in southern California, the HIV epidemic continues to affect thousands of lives. Our region has some of the highest rates of HIV infection among women and African Americans in the country, and one out of every two new HIV infections is among people under 24 years of age. Thankfully, there are nonprofit groups such as Foothill AIDS Project (FAP) to offer supportive services to people living with HIV and AIDS. FAP helps by offering housing, medical case management, mental health and substance abuse programs, and food and transportation assistance to those affected by HIV right here in our neighborhood.

Please join us to in our effort to support FAP at The Spot restaurant on Thursday, April 27th between noon and 8:00 p.m.
