CLAREMONT, CA. – Jamie Solomon has joined the women's tennis program as an assistant coach for the 2018 season as announced by Head Coach Mike Morgan.
Solomon returns to Pomona-Pitzer as a coach after a successful playing career as a Sagehen. She was a three-time First Team All-SCIAC selection and held the No. 14 overall ranking in the nation in singles and reached No. 10 in the nation for doubles.
Solomon spent the majority of her matches at the No. 1 spot in singles play where she earned 64 total wins and also played at No. 2 doubles where she tallied 68 wins over the course of her career including an impressive doubles win in the NCAA West Regional Finals against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps during her senior season.
"We are so fortunate to have Jamie return to Pomona-Pitzer as our assistant coach.", said Head Coach Mike Morgan. "Her work rate and dedication to her team as a leader always stood out when I coached against her when she was a student athlete. Now having seen her as a coach, she is exactly the same and has been amazing to work with already. I know the team will benefit greatly from her experience on the court as well as her experience being a former Pomona-Pitzer athlete."
Solomon graduated from Pitzer College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in media studies.
