CLAREMONT, CA. – Emma van der Veen of the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swim & Dive team finished in second place at the SCIAC Diving Championship on Saturday, scoring 428.05 points in the final round of the 1-Meter Dive. Kellyn Toole of Chapman University took first with the final score of 443.20 while Jacque Desmond of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps finished third at 422.90. All three divers were named to All-SCIAC honors.
In the preliminary round, van der Veen finished at the top of the group, scoring 447.10, while her teammate Ruby Epstein finished sixth at 398.70, making the cutoff for the final round. Epstein later took sixth overall in the final with a score of 398.70.

Elaine Liu finished in 15th in preliminaries with 269.10 points and Aliana Flagsberg-Tsai scored 244.90.
