Women's Swim & Dive: Sagehens Finish Lancer Invite in Sixth

RIVERSIDE, CA. – The final day of the Lancer Invitational hosted at Cal Baptist University ended with the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swimming and Diving team taking sixth with 47 points. Despite having only four members from the program competed at the event, the Sagehens produced a few strong results at the meet. 

First year Alex Werner finished in fifth in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:22.73 and scored 14 points. Anabelle Farnham finished in 18th in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:03.26 and later took 24th in the 200 Freestyle at 2:00.78. Hannah Zurmuhl earned 13 points after placing sixth in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:55.70. Anna Newman placed 24th in the 100 Breaststroke after clocking in at 1:14.86.

Up Next: The Sagehens will compete again in the new year in a dual meet against Cal Lutheran University at home on January 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
