Swim & Dive: Men Ranked 7th, Women Listed in 12th In CSCAA Poll

CLAREMONT, CA. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the TYR 2018-19 Preseason Polls for Division III, listing both the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Swim and Dive program and the women's program within the top-15. Following a wildly successful season in which both programs won the SCIAC Championship the same year for the first time in program history and sent eight athletes each to the NCAA, the Sagehens found themselves climbing higher in the rankings than past season.

The men's program is ranked seventh in the nation in the preseason poll. Last season the Sagehens finished ninth in the national rankings after taking eighth overall in the NCAA Championship and seeing Lukas Menkhoff become the first Sagehen to win an NCAA Swimming title in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The women's program is ranked 12th in the preseason poll. The Sagehens finished last season 15th in the final rankings after a ninth-place finish in the NCAA Championship.
