TRINITY, TX – The Pomona-Pitzer Swimming and Diving Program saw two divers compete in the first day of the NCAA Diving Regionals on Friday afternoon. Bilguun Altantulkhuur represented the men's team in the 3-meter board while Emma van der Veen represented the women's team in the 1-meter board.
Altanktulkhuur took 11th in the first day, scoring 321.00 points after 11 rounds on the board. Kendall Holliman of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps took first place with a score of 486.05 while Daniel Valmassei of Trinity University finished runner-up at 481.70.
Van der Veen finished in 11th on the boards, scoring 342.35 points after 11 rounds. Sarah Hayhurst of Centre College won the event with a total of 436.35 points while Maia Presti of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps took second at 411.00 points.
The two divers will conclude the NCAA Regionals as Altantulkhuur competes in the 1-meter and Van der Veen takes on the 3-meter.
