CLAREMONT, CA. – The No. 10 ranked Pomona-Pitzer Women's Soccer team fell to the hands out No. 3 University of Chicago 3-0 on Sunday morning at the Pomona-Pitzer Soccer Field.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens suffer their first loss of the season and drop to 1-1 on the year while Chicago improves to 2-0.
The Maroons put an end to the Sagehen soccer home shutout record as Jenna McKinney scored a goal in the 10th minute of the game. That would be the first goal scored by an away team during the regular season at the Pomona-Pitzer Soccer Field since 2015.
The Maroons went on to score two more goals in the first half as Adrianna Vera scored a goal off of a rebounded shot and Bri Fadden scored on a deflection off of her own teammate to give Chicago a 3-0 lead at the half.

The big first half by Chicago and their tough defense earned them the win and handed the Sagehens their first loss of the season.
Pomona-Pitzer will next go on the road as they take on the No. 1 ranked Washington University of St. Louis on Saturday, September 9th at 11:30 a.m.
