Women's Golf: Sagehens Take First Place At CLU Regals Invitational

THOUSAND OAKS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Golf team took home first place in the CLU Regals Invitational on Monday and Tuesday afternoon at Sunset Hills Country Club.

The Sagehens led after both days during the tournament and finished with a final score of 633, which was 39 strokes better than second place Whittier who finished with a score of 672.

All five of Pomona-Pitzer's golfers finished inside the top-10 as they captured their first tournament win of the season coming at the CLU Regals Invitational.

The Sagehens were led by Valerie Wang who finished in a tie for first place overall as she shot a consistent two rounds with a 78 and a 77 for a shared best score of 155.

Not far behind Wang was Jennifer Kim who took third place overall with a score of 157 as she shot a 77 in round one and an 80 in round two.

Sophia Hui also finished inside the top-five as she shot an 80 and an 81 as she ended up in a tie for fifth place with a score of 161.

Andi Chaloult and Catherine Lott rounded out the scoring for the Sagehens as Chaloult took seventh overall with an 82 and an 80 for a score of 162 and Lott shot an 86 in round one and a 79 in round two and finished in eighth place overall with a score of 165.
