Women's Golf: Sagehens Finish 11th in Desert Classic

NIPTON, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer Women's golf team left the desert with an 11th place finish. The Sagehens finished with a two-round score of 669. Their final score placed them in front of two division II institutions.

Sophia Hui finished as the top placer for the Sagehens at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, which included a mix of division II and division III colleges and universities. The sophomore finished tied for 26th place after shooting 83 and 81 for a total score of 164.

Valerie Wang tied for 42nd place after shooting 87 in the first round and 80 in the second round for an overall score of 167. One stroke behind was Andi Chaloult who finished with a total score of 168 after shooting 87 in the first round and 80 in the second round.

Jennifer Kim rounded out the scoring for the Sgehens tied for 48th place after shooting 86 in the first round and 84 in the second round for an overall score of 170.
