Women's Basketball: Alaina Woo Tabbed First Team All-SCIAC

Claremont, CA. – Senior guard Alaina Woo has earned Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) postseason honors as she has been tabbed First Team All-SCIAC as announced by the league office today.

Woo earned SCIAC First Team All-Conference honors for the first time to cap off her collegiate career as she led the SCIAC in scoring with 16.7 points per game. Woo also averaged 4.4 rebounds per game as a guard and started every single game this season for the Sagehens. Woo also scored a career-high and Pomona-Pitzer school record as she record 37 points in a game earlier this season against Linfield College.

"I am extremely proud of Alaina for earning First Team All-SCIAC", said Head Coach Jill Pace. "In every game this season she brought a relentless fight that rubbed off on everyone in our program. This honor is very well-deserved and is a testament to Alaina's work ethic and leadership this season."

 

Woo has scored 20 or more points in eight different games this season and ends her career with as No. 10 on the Sagehens' all-time scoring list with 1,093 points. Woo has also tallied 301 rebounds, 101 steals and 192 assists in her four years as a Sagehens and ends up as the all-time leader in three-point field goals made at 160.
