Two batters later, Hong singled to center field, putting pinch runner Quinn Sheehy on second. Freshman Marya Ornelas moved both runners over a base with a ground out to third, but a pop up ended the game.
Game Two: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 5, Pomona-Pitzer 1
Freshman Izzy Deatherage added a RBI in the top of the seventh, but two big innings by the Athenas gave them the win in game two.
