CLAREMONT, CA. – Pomona-Pitzer freshman Izzy Deatherage has been tabbed as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Softball Player of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Deatherage led the Sagehens with three hits in a doubleheader against Chapman. The Sagehens earned a 4-1 win behind her two hits and run scored. Deatherage also added a hit and a RBI in game one of the doubleheader against the Panthers.
The freshman is hitting .313 this season and has three RBI and three runs scored in six games played so far this season. The Sagehens are 3-3 overall this season and 1-1 in SCIAC play and next host conference opponent La Verne for a double header on Saturday, February 25th at 12:00 p.m.
