Tennis: Jake Yasgoor And Caroline Casper Earn No. 1 ITA Singles West Ranking

Claremont, CA. – Pomona-Pitzer Tennis currently holds both No. 1 ranked West Region singles players in senior Jake Yasgoor and sophomore Caroline Casper as announced by the ITA on Thursday.

Yasgoor has had a stellar season so far this year as the senior has tallied a 13-2 overall record and is 2-0 against conference opponents and currently on a 10 match winning streak for the Sagehens in singles play.

Pomona-Pitzer is currently just outside the top-10 at No. 11 overall this season with a 13-7 overall record and 2-1 in the SCIAC this season.

Casper continues to hold the No. 1 ranking as she was tabbed as the No. 1 singles player in the West Region at the start of the regular season. Casper currently has a 9-2 overall record this season in singles play including a win over the No. 1 ranked singles player in the nation during the ITA Indoor National Championship match as she defeated Bridget Harding of Emory University.

The Sagehens are the No. 5 team in Division III this season with a 10-3 overall record and a perfect 3-0 in SCIAC play.
