At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his fourth season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Men’s Tennis team.

2017 Second Team All-SCIAC… Played at the No. 2 singles line for the Sagehens with an 8-13 record and played No. 2 doubles with teammate Jake Yasgoor where they finished with a 13-10 record.

2016: All-American (Doubles).... First-team All-SCIAC... Played at No. 1 doubles and advanced to Semifinals of NCAA Doubles with teammate Spencer Simonides. The doubles team tallied a 16-13 record. Maassen also played at No 1 and No. 2 singles for the Sagehens where he compiled a 16-11 record.

2015: Second-team All-SCIAC...SCIAC All-Academic team...Played in the middle of the singles lineup (No. 3 or No. 4) and finished the year playing No. 2 doubles...Had an 18-2 record in doubles and a 12-14 record in singles...Only two doubles losses came to CMS (at Ojai and in the NCAA Regional finals), while going 2-2 in the four head-to-head matchups with the Stags' No. 2 team...Was also 7-0 playing at No. 3 doubles with Spencer Simonides...Earned the clinching win 12-10 in a third-set tiebreaker in a 5-4 victory over No. 13 Chicago...Named the Division3Tennis.com West Region Player of the Week after the Chicago win...Earned a two-set win over No. 1 Amherst...Won 7-5 in the third set for a clincher in a 5-4 win over No. 3 Middlebury.

2014: A regular contributor in the singles line-up (usually at No. 4)...Also played No. 3 doubles the second half of the season...Finished with a 13-9 singles record and an 11-5 mark in doubles...Earned a two-set singles win against No. 4 Amherst...Also won in three sets against No. 2 Williams...Was 5-0 against NESCAC schools overall (Bates, Bowdoin, Amherst, Tufts, Williams)...Won 8-6 in a third-set tiebreaker against No. 17 Mary Washington...Had a key 9-7 comeback win in doubles against Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC semifinals...Won in singles and doubles against Texas-Tyler in the NCAA Regionals.
