Men's Golf: Pomona-Pitzer Ends SCIAC 2 In Seventh Place

INDUSTRY HILLS, CA. - -The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team took seventh at the SCIAC 2 at Pacific Palms Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

The Sagehens finished in seventh place with a final score of 631. CMS took first with a score of 597, La Verne took second at 600, Redlands in third at 606, Occidental in fourth at 614, Cal Lutheran in fifth at 620 and Chapman in sixth at 621.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Conor Rooney who finished in a tie for 15th overall. Rooney shot a 72 in round one and an 82 in round two for a final score of 154. Jack Carrigan finished in a tie for 24th overall with a consistent 79 in both rounds for a score of 158 while Owen Rosebeck finished in a tie for 29th with an 83 and a 77 for a total of 160.

Jeremy Burton ended his two-day tournament in a tie for 32nd overall as he shot an 82 and a 79 for a score of 161 and David Song took 39th with an 81 and an 86 for a total of 167. 

Ending the day for the Sagehens was Geoff Holland who took 44th with an 86 and an 85 for a final score of 171.

Up Next: The Sagehens will next compete in the SCIAC Championship on Thursday, April 18th – 20th.
