Men's Golf: Rooney And Rosebeck Tie For Second Place At Poet Challenge

WHITTIER, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team finished in third place at the Poet Challenge Tournament on Friday afternoon at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms.

The Sagehens finished in third place overall after the one round tournament with a final score of 322. La Verne finished in first with a score of 312 and Chapman University coming in second at 313.

The Sagehens were led by Conor Rooney and Owen Rosebeck who both tied for second overall with a score of 77, which was just two strokes off of the leader who ended the tournament with a 75.

Jeremy Burton and Geoff Holland tied for 24th overall with a score of 82 and Jack Carrigan, Alan Tom and Gilbert Chang all tied for 24th overall with a score of 86.

Up Next: The Sagehens will next compete in the SCIAC 1 on Saturday, February 23rd at Chino Hills.
