Men's Golf: Pomona-Pitzer Ends Day One Of SCIAC Championships In Fourth

CHINO HILLS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team ended day one of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships in fourth place after round one on Sunday morning at Los Serranos Country Club.

The Sagehens ended the day in fourth with a round one score of 301, which is just five strokes behind third place La Verne at 296. CMS currently sits in first at 286.

The Sagehens were led by Hunter Lowry who shot a team-low score of 72 to open up his tournament tied for third overall. Just behind Lowry was Owen Rosebeck who shot a 73 to tie for eighth overall.

Conor Rooney and Thomas Verigin both tied for 35th overall to end day one with a score of 78 and Jack Carrigan and Spencer Katchman ended the day for the Sagehens with Carrigan in a tie for 43rd at 80 and Katchman tied for 47th with a score of 82.

The Sagehens will continue their play in the SCIAC Championships on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
