PASADENA, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team finished in sixth place at the SCIAC II on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Brookside.
The Sagehens finished with an overall score of 612, which was just three strokes behind fifth place Chapman. Cal Lutheran took fourth place with 605, Redlands finished in third at 601, La Verne took second at 593 and CMS finished in first place with a 585.
The Sagehens were led by Conor Rooney who had an extremely impressive two days of golf as he shot a 73 in round one and a 72 in round two for a second place finish score of 145.
Thomas Verigin also placed inside the top-10 as he tied for ninth with a 77 and a 74 for a total score of 151. Owen Rosebeck ended the tournament in a tie for 33rd overall with a 78 in round one and an 80 in round two for a score of 158 and Jack Carrigan finished not too far behind in a tie for 38th with a 78 and an 84 for a score of 162.
Hunter Lowry ended the day for the Sagehens in 41st overall with an 83 and an 81 to finish with a 164.
