Men's Golf: Pomona-Pitzer Ends Desert Classic In 16th Place

LAS VEGAS, NV. --- The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team finished in 16th place at the Las Vegas Desert Classic at Royal Links Golf Club on Sunday and Monday afternoon.

The Sagehens finished in 16th overall with a final two round score of 633. Pomona-Pitzer shot a 315 in day one with windy conditions and came back for a 303 team score in round two.

Leading the way for the Sagehens was Conor Rooney who finished tied for 35th overall with a 73 in round one and a 79 in round two for a score of 152.

Just behind Rooney was Thomas Verigin who shot a close two rounds of 79 and 77 for a final score of 156, which landed him in a tie for 54th overall.

Hunter Lowry tied for 94th overall with an 84 in round one and an 80 in round two for a score of 164 and Owen Rosebeck and Sam Sawyers ended the day for the Sagehens with Rosebeck in a tie for 96th with an 82 and an 84 for 166 and Sawyers just behind that in a tie for 98th with an 88 and a 79 for a score of 167.
