Men's Golf: Sagehens Take Fourth Place At Whittier Invitational

CHINO HILLS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Golf team opened up 2018 with a fourth place finish in the Whittier Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Los Serranos Gold Course.

The Sagehens shot 311 to end the day with a fourth place finish. Whittier College ended the day in first with a day-low score of 300 followed by Occidental College in second with 302 and Chapman in third at 307.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Conor Rooney who finished tied for first with a score of 70. Owen Rosebeck finished with the second lowest score of the Sagehens as he ended the day tied for ninth with a score of 77.

Right behind Rosebeck was Jack Peyden who finished the day in a tie for 11th with a score of 78 and Jeremy Burton and Jack Carrigan finished with a score of 82 in a tie for 18th overall.

Sam Sawyers and Alan Tom ended the day for the Sagehens with both of them finishing with a score of 83 in a tie for 20th overall.
