Men's Golf: Sagehens Tie For 11th At CA State Championships

VENTURA, CA. – The Pomona- Pitzer Men's Golf team finished in a tie for 11th place at the CA State Intercollegiate Fall Championships on Monday and Tuesday afternoon at Olivas Links Golf Course.

The Sagehens finished in a tie for 11th place with a score of 587. Ottawa University-Arizona took first place with a score of 569, Chapman University took second place with 570 and Cal Lutheran took third with 572.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by Conor Rooney who shot a 75 in round one and a team-low 68 in round two for a score of 143, which landed him in a tie for 15th overall.

Gilbert Chang finished in a tie for 37th as he shot a 76 in round one and a 72 in round two for a score 148.

Jack Carrigan and Owen Rosebeck both finished in a tie for 42nd overall. Carrigan shot a 74 and a 76 while Rosebeck shot a 78 and a 72 for a score of 150.

Ending the day for the Sagehens was Sam Sawyers who ended his two rounds in a tie for 48th as he shot a 79 in round one and a 72 in round two for a total of 151.
